The Road Department provides the following:

  •  Graveling
  •  Snow Removal (Private driveways for emergency purposes only)

​The Road Department maintains 1,100 certified road miles throughout Emmons County.

Road Approach Permit Required

New and/or existing approaches needing improvement require a completed “Road Approach Permit” and submitted to the Emmons County Road Supervisor.  The “Road Approach Permit” is available:

  • Emmons County website: https://emmonsnd.com/permits/
  • Call (701) 254-5491 or (701) 254-4807 to request the form.
  • Stop at the Emmons County Auditor’s Office and request the form.

The Road Supervisor will perform an on-site visit to determine the type of approach needed along with the culvert size if one is needed.
